[07:12:46] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[07:12:46] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[07:12:47] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> since systemd promises to provide stable network names I have never seen so many hopping names from release to release :-)
[07:13:21] <abaumann> mmh. buildmaster backup of 93G results in 307G disk space usage, mind you, that's only one hourly snapshot.. bizare..
[07:19:03] <abaumann> aha: a mounted chroot: buildmaster.archlinux32.org/mnt/tmp

[09:13:56] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> does it include a dependency to a mailer, so it can send emails about temperature and usage too? ;-)

[10:24:17] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[10:24:18] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[10:24:19] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> wow: my first wayland experience of the blury kind (in libvirt).. there is a small black line moving from the top to the bottom of the screen.. an homage to old CRT monitors, I suppose. ;-)
[10:24:49] <abaumann> eschwartz: https://bugs.archlinux.org not yet.
[10:24:58] <abaumann> got lost in action :-)
[10:27:02] <abaumann> I need an account first..
[10:34:55] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[10:34:55] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[10:34:55] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[10:34:56] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> so you're a garbage collector?
[10:35:01] <deep42thought> Hi abaumann!
[10:35:31] <deep42thought> regarding backup: For that very reason, I usually use -x for rsync
[10:35:40] <abaumann> hi deep42thought
[10:35:50] <abaumann> yep.
[10:36:06] <abaumann> rsnapshot doesn't do that by default.
[10:36:13] <deep42thought> I find it much easier to keep track of block devices rather than mount points
[10:38:21] <abaumann> rsnapshot has some nice features, like the rotations (hourly, daily, etc.), but it cannot ensure the mysql backup is consistent (by executing a script on the server) and I don't like the pull method with root (I rather like pushing to an underprivileged backup server)
[10:39:00] <abaumann> but we have hourly backups now :-)
[10:39:12] <deep42thought> don't we have /data/backup/database-... for the database backups?
[10:39:21] <abaumann> yes. but if the server crashes.. :-)
[10:39:28] <abaumann> borg was running only daily
[10:39:32] <abaumann> because it was so slow
[10:39:41] <abaumann> another reason to get rid of it
[10:47:35] <deep42thought> I'm usually too paranoid to have slow backups - because I let them recheck each file's content
[10:47:42] <deep42thought> s/slow/fast/

[11:08:49] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[11:08:50] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> yeah. real servers don't grow on trees. ;-)

[11:57:45] <buildmaster> i686/wireguard-lts are broken (says buildknecht2): https://archlinux32.org

[12:19:00] <deep42thought> currently, `seed-build-list -a` runs amok, because glibc claims not to provide any glibc stuff (in the database) - so every package linked against glibc looks like it had broken linking and gets rescheduled.
[12:19:21] <deep42thought> This can also be a major blocker for db-update and make `db-update -p` move more than intended
[12:19:57] <deep42thought> I'll try to find out, why glibc misses its rows in `install_target_providers`

[12:58:38] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[12:58:38] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[12:58:39] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> that's what happens if fixing a bug is faster than checking out the git repo of the linux kernel.
[12:59:08] <abaumann> deep42thought: good catch. I hope it's easy to fix.
[13:01:13] <abaumann> This explains, why nothing moves from testing to stable maybe?
[13:02:30] * abaumann sits in a train with a little bit shacky internet connection..
[13:02:32] -!- abaumann has quit [Client Quit]
[13:07:39] <deep42thought> abaumann: yes, this explains it pretty good

[14:23:32] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[14:23:32] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[14:23:33] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> Why not copy postfix into systemd?
[14:23:52] <deep42thought> abaumann: I couldn't find a real reason for the glibc issue
[14:23:58] <deep42thought> but it only affects glibc and shim packages
[14:24:04] <abaumann> mmh.
[14:24:07] <deep42thought> I rescheduled glibc
[14:24:10] <deep42thought> now it looks ok
[14:24:14] <abaumann> ah. ok.
[14:24:18] <abaumann> know workaround :-)
[14:24:22] <deep42thought> lets see, how it evolves when glibc is built and returned
[14:24:44] <abaumann> ok. I don't do manual moves for now not to spoil the experiment
[14:24:46] <deep42thought> I suspect something about the rescheduling went wrong, when the sub_pkgrel started to diverge (2 vs 40)
[14:24:58] <deep42thought> moves make no difference
[14:25:03] <abaumann> ah. good.
[14:25:05] <deep42thought> I can see it in the database
[14:25:41] <deep42thought> ("diverge" between different architectures)
[14:59:21] -!- infides has joined #archlinux32
