[00:39:17] <bill-auger> void09: many applications are broken - over time, more and more will become unable to build - this distro is very difficult to maintain, so plz open bug reports
[01:30:24] <void09> I don't think there's anything to open, it says in the package description that it can't meet a dependency
[01:30:26] <void09> libtorrent
[01:31:35] <void09> not satisfiable dependency: "libtorrent-rasterbar.so.10" (link)
[01:37:52] <bill-auger> yes so in this case it already happened for 486 - last built 2021 - marhed "to be deleted" https://archlinux32.org
[01:37:53] <phrik> Title: Arch Linux 32 - Package Search (at archlinux32.org)
[01:41:39] <bill-auger> so you did not need to mention it for its own sake - though you could use that program if you need to - presumably that is what your really want
[01:41:40] <bill-auger> most likely, you could install that unsatisfiable dependency which was in the repos in 2021
[01:47:32] <bill-auger> whenther gentoo pr whichever options remain, it will be a challenge to maintain a 32bit x86 GUI system - it has been for years

[14:26:23] <void09> well gentoo is more flexible perhaps, since it compiles against whatever lib versions are available (if compatible)
[14:26:50] <void09> saw a few videos with retro computers using gentoo, because of being able to strip down the kernel, no systemd etc
